Hustler's Paradise is a performance theatre/performance art concept piece by American artist, Theo Edmonds. Blending shamanism with gritty street culture, Hustler's Paradise is about a person who is no longer young (mid-life) and is struggling with self-acceptance, self-forgiveness and finding new strength in seeing themselves as they really are. The piece addresses issues of religion, homophobia, racism, elitism, violence, prostitution, unrequited dreams and, ultimately, personal redemption and reclaiming of one's spiritual being.
Over the past year, Theo's performance art/theatre work have been feature events in a diverse collection of locations including NYC's Bowery Poetry Club, The American Church of Paris and Studios de la Ville de Paris.
