Society&Magic, Swedish performance at Month of Performance Art - Berlin

Society is the stuff we do together. Magic is a dark thing of the past. Or is that other way around? The featured performances are created by three of Sweden's most knowledgeable people on the subject: Iris Smeds, Leo Park and Linnea Hansander. Underneath society is a thick layer of magic. Or is that the other way around?

Saturday 19th May, 8:30 pm, at Merkezi. Adalbertstraße 5, Kreuzberg. Part of Month of Performance Art - Berlin

IRIS SMEDS - IN ORDER TO EAT ANOTHER MAN'S SOUL
A performance that explains art merchandise as a form of soul market – how you gain power and riches by eating artist souls. The performance will take form as a PowerPoint presentation with some supernatural effects.

LEO PARK – NOIS SERGSNART CIRCUIT
Exploring the circuit connecting the realm of the undefined with the realm of the rational. An individual's journey through this circuit proves to be painful. Part of the Nois Sergsnart series, which tells the story of how identity is created, and how we reproduce ourselves as social beings.

LINNEA HANSANDER with CAROLINE DONATH – COACHED CANNIBAL KARAOKE
Local participants are given the chance to identify their exploited cultural property and reclaim it through food- cannibalism and karaoke. Eliminate your enemies, take their strength. It's easy - eat them.
