Forced Entertainment are set to return to the web waves with another epic improvisation on the evening of Saturday 22 March. From 6pm GMT, audiences around the world will have the opportunity to join theatre goers at Culturgest, Lisbon, for the six hours of And on the Thousandth Night ...
Live and digital audiences are invited to comment, interact and share their experiences on Twitter, using #1000THLIVE. Further online commentary will be provided by arts specialists Exeunt Magazine, via blog posts written throughout the 6 hours of the show.
And on the Thousandth Night ... explores the relationship between a story, its public and its tellers. A story is told, made up live, dragged from memory by a line of seven performers dressed as Kings and Queens, wearing cheap red cloaks and cardboard crowns. It’s a long, mutating and endlessly self-cancelling story, a story which somehow, in its many dips and turns, seems to include many, if not all, of the stories in the world.
