Kim Skjoldager-Nielsen (b. 1971) holds a MA in theatre studies. He did his thesis on interactivity as dramaturgical strategy based on performance-installations by the Danish company SIGNA.

2007-2010 he was an affiliated lecturer at the Section of Theatre and Performance Studies, Institute of Arts and Culture Studies, University of Copenhagen. He has also taught Performance Theory at the Department of Performance Design, Roskilde University Centre (2008-2009), as well as worked as a dramaturge (Stuart Lynch, Arshak Ikilikian, Lone Star Productions a.o.) and a performer (SIGNA). He is now a PhD student at Dept. of Music and Theatre Studies, Stockholm University.

His fields of research cover live interactive theatre, experimental and performance theatre, ritual, spiritual and religious theatre, performance analysis, dramaturgy, and theatre sociology. He has presented papers at PSi and FIRT/IFTR and other international conferences in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Germany, Croatia, Canada and Japan.

He is a member of the Oslo based international research project Performing the Sacred, the network Aesthetics, Theology and Science, and he is co-convener of the FIRT/IFTR working group Performance and Religion.

He is board member of Nordic Theatre Studies, and co-editor of the journal NTS.
