Edith Medina was born in Mexico City. She is a visual artist and curator. Her work explores the relationship between image, body and media, and the ways in which media influence the structuring of ideas about identity, the body and a contextual view of the role of individuals. Through media such as performance art, video and sound fragmentation, her work currently investigates the ways in which the progress of science and technology has changed and expanded the position of the human body.
She was curator of the International Festival of Performance Art and coordinator of the documentation center at Ex Teresa Arte Actual.
