Christine Bonansea is a dancer, choreographer and filmmaker. She studied in France Literature at the University La Sorbonne, pursued her training in a National dance school where she got the national Modern dance graduation. Selected in National Choreographic Dance Centers with Catherine Diverres, Regine Chopinot (ENMD), Mathilde Monnier (Exerce 99) she completed her research and explored diverse visual arts as well as physical performing techniques.
Her works cover a broad artistic field, featured an integrated and participatory process carried out in collaboration with artists; that includes a combination of research, ideas, experimentations, and improvisations.
She’s interested in creating new concept and structure as vectors to communicate the ambivalences of the body in movement in real-life relationships.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, she’s been challenging the dynamics of live performance within the diversity of environment that she’s experienced internationally.
Performer, interpreter for Faustin Linyekula –Gaara (France/Kenya), Paige Starling Sorvillo/blindsight (US), Compagnie Allias (Switzerland), Punkki co (US/Finland), Lisa Townsend Company (US), Catherine Galasso (US), Avy K Productions (US/Israel), Epiphany Productons (US), La ALTERNATIVA (US), Dance Monks (US/Mexico), Jess Curtis/Gravity (US/Germany), Smith and Wymore Disappearing Acts (US), Tino Seghal (Germany)…these last 2 years, she also presented 2 video dances and 4 dance pieces in the US and in Europe.
