Coming from visual arts, Annika is here after educated in the physical laboratory theatre tradition at Larssons Theatre Academy in Sweden and at Istituto di Arte Scenica in Italy in 1987-90. She took in 2000-02 a post education in the Russian theatre tradition from Scut/Gitis - the state theatre school in Moscow.
Parallel to this she has studied different forms of dance and choreography with various choreographers since 1985.
Annika is working as a freelance actress, performance artist and choreographer around Europe and has been working with, among others, the Danish Exment/Tinbox, Boxiganga and Club Fisk, the Portuguese João Fiadeiro/Atelier RE.AL., the Icelandic LabLoki, German Ludica, and for TV and in various movies, a.o. with the Swedish director Björn Runge/SVT.
Annika has performed and toured in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Russia, Germany, Brazil, United Kingdom, Belgium, Portugal, Latvia, Italy and United States.
Since 1997 she has also been touring around in Scandinavia with her orchestra Felicia.
In 2007 she received the RMW cultural award and in 2008 & 2011 the prestigious working grant from the Danish Arts Foundation.
Annika founded Kassandra Production in 1998, a transdisciplinary platform for contemporary performing arts.
She has within that framework created, staged, directed, choreographed and produced over 25 productions in the intersection of theatre, dance, new media, music and performance art:
