Bio
Rugiada Cadoni was born in 1977, in the lakes region of northern Italy.
She is a unique daughter.
Since her youngest age she spend the most of her time drawing and painting, till that, teenager, she decides to frequent the Art College. There, she wants to improve her creative abilities with the technical skills and soon develop an interest for the performance and the body art.

Fifteen, Rugiada is known in the local punk circle, she is vegetarian, stands in the defense of the animals rights and develops a pretty aggressive personal look that she already considers as a provocation.
Despite these activities, Rugiada remain independent of any social group and has no solid friendships.
During the1995, making a baldy first step, she begin a relation with David Liver. Just few months later they leave to Urbino where they start studies at the Fine Arts School.
Rugiada find a job as model but doesn't like the atmosphere of the student city.
So, she wanted to go to Sardinia, curious about the Sardinian origins of his father.
Reticent at first, David agrees to follow.
The two attend the Fine Arts School in Sassari where they start a common art project under the firm of Y Liver. Their first performance was reviewed by Giuliana Altea for Flash Art Magazine.
Then the duo was invited to exhibit by Luciano Inga Pin in Milan and in Rome by Pino Casagrande in 2001
They Move to Milan and graduated at the Brera fine arts School in 2003.
During the same year they move to Paris, where David's family lives.
During this period, while remaining involved with Y Liver, Rugiada is less present in the work of the duo.
She attends a fashion design school, for which she won a scholarship and began a collaboration with the designer Helene Nepomiatzi for several brands like Zvarowski, Clinique, Caddie and the printed fabric producer Malfroy...

The reborn passion for painting and manual labor push Rugiada to start a series of paintings entitled "altarpiece / polittico", serial project in which the artist depicts five women representing an European country: Signora Antonella, Frau Olga,Miss Robyn, Madame Madeleine , Senora Esteban.

In the meanwhile Rugiada produces a second serial project, entitled Act Seventy77 , consisting of three series, "Acts" of 77 silkscreens.

Rugiada Cadoni means art as a provocation of ambiguity and focus on the minimal and unspectacular forms with spontaneous acts resulting from a constant conceptual reflection.

Among her themes is the criticism of the feminine figure, not always positive, and underestimated cause of socio-political and cultural events.

«I work with art as a statement of position against the perbenism of the contemporary».
