INTERNATIONAL NETWORK FOR CULTURE AND ARTS INCA CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
This is a call from INCA (International Network for Culture and Arts) for actors, visual artists, dancers and performers.
We are looking for 25 people to participate initially in a one off 3-hour workshop in London on Thursday 5th of December 2013. We may invite you to the next stage of the project, which is a 15-day intensive residency in the beautiful West Country from the 9th to the 23rd of December 2013.
This will culminate in a final showcase event in London to perform the work in progress on the 31st of January 2013. The work will involve debate, movement work, team building, simulations and other theatrical methods. The work will primarily be creative, self reflective, collaborative, and intensive, largely movement and physical based.
The artists we are looking for must be under 30 years of age, LONDON BASED and:
- Politically Engaged and/or Socially aware and interested.
- Interested in using theatre and arts as a means of personal expression.
- Young artists that are ready to participate actively in the project.
as a stimulus and metaphor we will investigate and explore nowadays ‘exclusion” (e.g. Unemployed).
Using artists from all theatrical mediums (visual arts, street theatre, circus, clown, social theatre, performance art, physical theatre, dance, audiovisual) the project aims to bring together a group, which believe in Art as a tool for creating social change in society.
Workshops: 70% of travel expenses (upon presentation of the relevant receipts) will be covered. Participants will cover 30% and this will be agreed prior to the event.

The ship of fools is an allegory that has long been a fixture in Western literature and art. The allegory depicts a vessel populated by human inhabitants who are deranged, frivolous, or oblivious passengers aboard a ship without a pilot, and seemingly ignorant of their o
