Sung Kuk Kang (Korea), Roland Walter (Germany), and Yuko Kaseki (Japan) will make a collaborative workshop for the first time in Berlin.
These artists are different in physicality, history, geographical location and nationalities.
They will share their own methodology of movement, influenced by Butoh, contemporary dance, performance art and improvisation. And there will appear a brand-new form through blending their ideas in this special workshop.
Sung Kuk Kang shows his special existence, movement and dramaturgy. Participants will be encouraged to discover their original dance. Roland Walter experiments with stress and relaxation of the body. Proximity and distance have a great significance. Yuko Kaseki's basic training on Butoh method, Noguchi Taiso, Tai Chi Dao-in aims to open awareness of inner and outer world and to realize permeable body. Playful and original movement will be encountered through elemental improvisations with time and spaces.

He experiments with his body and his handicap and shows that people with a fate like his can have a creative life. In his performances we can watch this discovery which is a fight against the handicap and for a creative life over and over. Since 2010, Roland Walter works as a performer, dancer and choreographer. He performs with other professional dancers around the world.
Butoh dancer, improviser, choreographer, teacher, co-founder of the dance company cokaseki. She creates solos, ensemble performances and international collaborations with various company and artists. She directs and perform with theater Thikwa since 2009. She collaborated with Sung Kuk Kang for TRI-O-ANGLE (2014) and several improvisations, with Roland Walter for surnature-anatomie du erdboden (2013), Archtiecture of abesence / ANICONIC (2013), INFANT MELLEE (2014), SUBLIMINAL AFFAIR (2015).
